Star Mill Trail - Black Moshannon State Park

TYPE - Day Hike

This was our second hike today while visiting Black Moshannon State Park. We still had a couple of hours to drive home, so we wanted another quick hike before heading home. This particular hike is a very easy 2 mile hike with that last mile having views of Black Moshannon Lake. The first part of the hike displays some remnants of an old saw mill, Star Mill, hence the trail name.

This trail is also a mountain bike trail but we so no one on the trail today. The trailhead was also empty when we got on the trail but when we returned it was full of mostly fishermen unload their boats and putting in the water. While we were cleaning up after the hike storms started rolling in and it caught a lot of fishermen on the water.

If you want a nice relaxing hike that can be done in tennis shoes, this is the hike for you.
